The church commits itself to welcoming all persons, celebrating the diversity found in a congregation broadly inclusive of persons from different backgrounds, including race, economic class, religion, culture, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, family status and physical and mental abilities.
We are called by God to reach out to one another as friends in Christ, to be compassionate stewards, obedient servants and sharers of the Gospel.
Joyfully and faithfully, our mission shall be to educate, worship, gather in fellowship and witness to the love of God in Jesus Christ. We shall pray for one another and our world and be instrumental in leading our community out of alienation, caused by modern day social problems and into a new era of responsibility.
What We Achieve
We are spreading our faith to this community by supporting the Garden City Fire Department with donations to buy smoke detectors to those in need.
We are supporting our community by giving food to the community food pantry monthly.
We have food bags available to those in need
Our Sewing Hope group of dedicated quilters have made quilts that have been donated to the VA Hospital, the American Legion, the Garden City Hospital, and to our shut-ins, infant baptisms, and those facing surgery.
We are providing Christian Education to not only the adults with two bible study sessions but with an innovative Sunday School program for all of our children.
We offer three independent Alcoholics Anonymous sessions.
We have an active ministry with our veterans through the VA Hospital.
Our Presbyterian Women’s Association has functions that are a staple in the community - an Annual Rummage Sale, a Holiday Bazaar and a Strawberry Festival that are open to all.
